The short version: Word Hunter collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics, no ads, and no servers of ours that your data ever touches.
What the game stores
Word Hunter saves your game progress, words you have solved, stages cleared, stars earned, best scores, and your theme and sound preferences. This data is stored only on your own device:
- In the web version, in your browser's local storage.
- In the mobile app, in the app's private on-device storage.
This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and contains nothing that identifies you. Deleting your browser data (web) or the app (mobile) permanently removes it.
What we don't do
- We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not require or offer account creation.
- We do not use cookies on this website.
Third-party services
The game and this website load two typefaces (Bungee and Atkinson Hyperlegible) from Google Fonts. When fonts load, your browser makes a standard web request to Google's servers, which involves your IP address, subject to Google's privacy policy. If the fonts cannot load (for example, offline), the game simply uses your system fonts, everything else works fully offline.
When you solve a word and are online, the game may ask free public dictionary services (Dictionary API and Datamuse) for that word's extra meanings, phonetic spelling, and pronunciation audio. Only the dictionary word itself is sent, never anything about you or your progress. Offline, the word card simply shows the game's own definition, and spoken pronunciation uses your device's built-in voice with no network at all.
Children
Word Hunter is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data at all, no data is collected from children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
