The free start
- Start free, unlock by mastering: Animals, Birds, and Countries are open from the first tap. Complete every stage of all three and the other nine subjects unlock, with a celebration when it happens. The locked cards always show how far you have to go.
- Palindromes is now its own subject: 39 mirror words from POP to REVIVER, promoted out of English and grown with 13 new ones.
- Subjects reordered by fun: the home screen now leads with what players pick first, Animals at the top, Mathematics bravely holding the rear.
- Quick Hunt follows your journey: the mixed hunt now serves only words you have earned, from unlocked subjects and only the levels you have reached in each topic. Words solved there count toward your mastery everywhere.
- 2,034 words across 12 subjects and 51 topics.
v1.3.0

Animals, Birds & Countries
- Three new subjects: Animals (mammals, sea creatures, insects and crawlies, reptiles and amphibians, pets and farm), Birds (from backyard robins to birds of prey), and Countries (every region of the world, plus Capitals).
- The hunt grows to 2,021 words across 11 subjects and 50 topics, up from 1,487.
- Crossover words: a TURKEY is a bird and a country, a CRANE is a bird and a machine, PYTHON is a snake and a coding language. Learn once, know twice.
- Every new word has a real clue, from "The striped horse nobody ever tamed" to "The world's northernmost capital."

The reef rebrand
- New look, whole app: Word Hunter dives from midnight indigo into Deep Reef, a teal night ocean with a mint accent, across the game, this website, and the app icon and splash screen.
- All three themes rebuilt: dark, grey, and light each re-derived in the new palette with full contrast checks.
- The gold letter tile stays: it is the brand mark, and it pops harder than ever against the reef.

The fun pack
- Candy tiles: falling letters now come in five glossy colors and wobble as they drop.
- Tap a tile to hit it: on touch screens, tapping a letter makes the cannon lead the shot straight onto that tile. Tapping open sky still fires where you point.
- Juicier shooting: muzzle flashes, glowing bullet trails, and shockwave rings on every hit.
- Livelier sky: a soft drifting aurora and the occasional shooting star.
- Better clues: each clue now shows the word length and points per letter; if you are stuck for ten seconds the game gifts a free letter; wrong shots shake the blanks to point you back at the clue.
- Fits every screen: the game now respects iPhone notches and home indicators, so nothing hides behind the status bar.

The first hunt
- The game: read the clue, shoot the falling letter tiles in any order, and spell the word. Five hearts per hunt, streaks multiply your score.
- 1,487 words, 8 subjects: English, Science, Mathematics, Literature, Geography, History, Technology, and Arts & Music, across 35 topics and 3 difficulty levels each.
- Word cards: every solved word can be heard aloud, with phonetic spelling and extra dictionary meanings when online.
- Journeys: stages of eight words per level, stars for clean runs, levels that unlock in order, and progress tracked subject by subject.
- No repeats: solved words are remembered on your device and never served again until a whole pool is mastered.
- Three themes: light, grey, and dark.
- Private by design: no account, no ads, no tracking; everything works offline and all progress stays on your device.
